Reebok revealed “The Give Back”, a new three-part campaign celebrating the return of the iconic Workout Plus while reaffirming the brand’s deep connection to British street culture. Fronted bt newly appointed UK ambassador K-Trap, the campaign marks another chapter in “Reebok’s ongoing “Born Classic. Worn for life” platform, bringing one of its most recognisable silhouettes to a new generation through a distinctive British lens.
Born in Bolton, Reebok has long played a big role in the evolution of British sportswear, from football terraces and gym culture to music, fashion and streetwear. With “The Give Back”, the brand looks back at that heritage while spotlighting the communities and individuals continuing to shape the contemporary culture today.
K-Trap Leads a New Generation
At the heart of the new campus is South London rapper K-Trap, whose appointment as Reebok’s UK ambassador reflects the brand’s renewed investment in Britian’s music and streetwear communities.
Across the three-part film series, K-Trap stars in a playful heist-inspired storyline that flips the traditional robbery narrative on its head. His mission is to give back instead of stealing expensive goods. He delivering pairs of the relaunched Workout Plus and other Reebok Classics to members of the community. In the campaign, K-Trap wears the Workout Plus in a Chalk colourway with a gun sole.
British Street Culture
Joining K-Trap is an impressive cast representing multiple generations of British culture. UK garage pioneer MC Bushkin of Heartless Crew appears as “Two Tone”, referencing the iconic pay-as-you-go mobile phones synonymous with the UK garage era. Fellow UKG legend Lisa Maffia of So Solid Crew stars as “The Duchess”, while EastEnders favourite Laila Morse, best known as Big Mo, appears as “Doris”, another playful nod to Cockney slang.
Representing today’s generation are Leo Mandella, one of Britain’s leading Gen Z fashion creators, and Jessy Law, a respected sneaker collector, writer and prominent voice within London’s sneaker community.
The multi-generational casting reflects Reebok’s belief that Classics have remained relevant because they’ve continually been embraced by new communities without losing their connection to those who made them iconic in the first place.
The Workout Plus Returns
Originally introduced as a performance training shoe in the 1980s, the Workout Plus has since become one of Reebok’s most defining silhouettes. Over the decades it has moved out of the gym and into music and sport culture.
MC Bushkin wears the original Workout OG, recalling the shoes associated with the Heartless Crew era, while Lisa Maffia receives a pair of Freestyle Lo sneakers styled alongside an unmistakably early-2000s velour tracksuit. Laila Morse pairs classic white Princess trainers with grey joggers, oversized gold hoops and a tartan shopping trolley, embracing an unmistakably British aesthetic.
Music Drives the Story
Music plays an important role throughout all three episodes, reflecting the sounds that have shaped British youth culture over several decades.
The opening chapter, The Heist, features “The Heartless Theme” by Heartless Crew, while K-Trap’s own hit “Manners” provides the soundtrack to The Journey before returning again in the campaign’s final chapter.
Launch Event
To celebrate the launch, Reebok transformed The Fitzrovia pub on London’s Goodge Street into The Reebok Arms, a one-night-only activation inspired directly by the campaign.
Designed as both a traditional British pub and a celebration of the brand’s heritage, the event brought together K-Trap, campaign talent and emerging musicians for an evening celebrating modern British culture through music, fashion and community.
