The Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 High OG is one of the most iconic sneaker collaborations of the past decade. Initially released in the legendary “Chicago” colorway as part of Virgil Abloh’s groundbreaking “THE TEN” collection, this deconstructed take on the classic AJ1 has become a cultural touchstone. With its unique design and Abloh’s signature details, the sneaker was later revisited in 2018, dropping in an EU-exclusive “White” and a “UNC” colorway.
As sneakerheads were hoping for another iteration, a “Canary Yellow” colorway surfaced in 2019, sparking excitement for a potential 2020 release. However, the sneaker never dropped, making it an elusive grail with only a handful of pairs in circulation.
Rumors are now swirling that the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 High OG “Canary Yellow” will finally release in 2025, coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1. Expected to feature all of Abloh’s signature design elements — the stitched lateral Swooshes, “AIR” text on the midsole, and medial label text — this edition will come in a striking white and yellow color combination.
While Jordan Brand has not officially confirmed the release, reports suggest the “Canary Yellow” pair will drop during the 2025 holiday season via Nike SNKRS and select retailers. Stay tuned for more updates on what could be one of the most highly anticipated sneaker drops of the year.
