Lorenz. Oh. Gee. 

It went down. Team.OG came through with the goods to kick off 2024, hitting us with a memorable release of the Lorenz.OG AIR MAX 95 collaboration in Central London.

Lorenz.OG fans and resellers alike had the chance to get their hands on one of 100 pairs available to the public. Two colourways released, both featuring his trademark gradient; the darker “VOLCANO” with bright oranges and dark reds, while the lighter “DUSK” pair gives us softer orange, pink and purple hues.

It was very much a case of the early bird catches the worm, or “110’s” in this case, as things started early doors on Saturday 28th Jan, with the streets already filling with hopefuls long before 9am. By 9.15am, there were some 300 people waiting outside the Good News (Bsmnt) store in Soho.

Soon after that, the location was leaked – and it was a mad rush by all to Soho Gardens. Those vying for the sneakers were doing whatever they could to reach the spot; Lime bikes were snatched up and then, before you knew it, ditched in the middle of Soho streets as the carnage ensued – all for the chance to secure a much-lauded Golden Ticket.

Only the first 150 people to reach the location would receive a white card, which enabled them to purchase a TONY’S CHOCOLONELY chocolate bar… or in this case, a TONY’S CHOCOL.OG. Within the 150 bars were only 100 Golden Tickets. Those fortunate enough to find one wrapped up in their sweet treat then had access to the sweetest treat of all, a guaranteed pair of the Lorenz.OG Nike Air Max 95 to purchase. 

From beginning to end, it was about three hours of madness, with pairs immediately appearing online for between £850 and £1250 a pop.

Once the dust had settled, the pop-up was open for all to explore. On display were 27 pairs of his Nike Air trademark colourways for all to see, as well as the option to buy tshirts, posters and Jason Markk x Lorenz.OG cleaning solution. Friends and Family Lorenz.OG AM95 “Summerhouses” were also spotted on the lucky few throughout the day…

Over the course of two days, there were good times and meaningful conversations all round. On to the next one.
