KEEN

KEEN x Henrik Vibskov Reworking the UNEEK Through a Scandinavian Lens

There’s always been something unconventional about the KEEN UNSEEK, a silhouette that has been defined by its two-cord construction and open, breathable structure. Sitting somewhere between a sandal and a sneaker, it has always existed in its own lane. For SS26 that identity is pushed even further through a collaboration with Henrik Vibskov, whose work has blended fashion and art into something experimental.

Vibskov approaches the UNEEK with a restraint, introducing subtle but impactful changes to form. His idea of integrating a disc-like circular element within the grid shifts the visual balance of the shoe, softening its structure and giving it a sculptural feel.

UNEEK 360

The UNEEK leans into the more progressive side of the collaboration. It is built with a lightweight synthetic upper and knit construction, it works in tandem with KEEN’s signature cord system to deliver flexibility and breathability. The design adapts naturally to the foot, making it feel almost second-skin in motion, while still maintaining the durability KEEN is known for.

Visually, the “Brindle Scarlet Ibis” colourway captures Vibskov’s approach best. A neutral Birch Roasted Pecan base grounds the shoe, while more saturated accents cut through, creating a contrast that feels both controlled and expressive.

UNEEK Leather

In contrast, the UNEEK Leather offers a more elevated take on the same concept. By introducing premium leather cords and a more structured upper, the silhouette shifts into a slightly more refined space, without losing its outdoor capability.

The “Bronze Green” colourway delivers a bolder, contemporary tone, adding depth and presence to the design, while “Birch Canteen” takes a softer approach, leaning into muted, natural hues that feel more understated. Both versions maintain KEEN’s focus on comfort, grip and stability, ensuring that the aesthetic updates don’t come at the expense of performance.
