As summer begins to take hold of the capital, VanMoof teamed up with artist, filmmaker and musician Wesley Joseph for The Ride Along, a unique community-led event that transformed London’s streets into a moving celebration of creativity, music and urban culture.
Bringing together a handpicked group of artists, DJs, producers, designers and cultural figures, the event was designed to explore the city from a different perspective. Participants travelled through London on two wheels, following a route inspired by the neighbourhoods, landmarks and everyday spaces tjat have helped shape Wesley Joseph’s relationship with the city over the years.
At the heart of the experience was a custom-built sound system mounted to Wesley’s VanMoof S6, creating a travelling soundtrack that accompanied the grouo throughout the evening. Riders moved through the city to a specially curated playlist, with music spilling into streets, side roads and public spaces, drawing curious glances from passers-by and turning an ordinary commute into something memorable.
Exploring London Through Community
The Ride Along reflected a shared belief between VanMoof and Wesley Joseph that cities are best experienced through the people and communities that give them life.

Making space for innovation and exploration in the everyday. Being outside with my people hearing music in a place beyond the stage really resonated”
That sense of freedom became a defining theme throughout the evening. Participants were encouraged to engage with London differently, slowing down to appreciate the details of the city, while moving through it as a collective. Along the route, photographers documented the ride, capturing moments that reflected London’s diverse creative scene and the energy that emerged throughout the event.
Celebrating the Arrival of the VanMoof S6
The event also marked the UK aerival of the VanMoof S6, the brandms latest e-bike designed specifically for urban mobility. Equipped with features such as the signature Boost Button and Kick Lock system, the S6 aims to make navigating busy city environments smoother and more intuitive.
The evening ended at a secret London location where guests were treated to an intimate surprise performance from Joseph, uniting everyone who had joined the ride for one final moment.
