Before UK garage became a defining sound of British club culture, it already had a look. Designer labels, oversized personalities and Reebok Classics became part of the uniform, worn by artists, DJs, MCs and ravers who shaped a generation. Now, Reebok, photographer Ewen Spencer and MC Bushkin bring back that era with Oh My Mosch, a new photo book celebrating one of the scene’s most recognisable figures and his extraordinary fashion archive.
Mc Bushkin is a founding member of North London’s Heartless Crew alongside Fonti and Mighty Moe, Bushkin helped shape UK garage between 1995 and 2014. The group’s influence reached far beyond the dancefloor, helping establish a cultural foundation for the emergence of grime. Throughout that period, Bushkin developed a personal style that was just as unique as his presence on the microphone, moving between high-end designer fashion and the Reebok Classics that became synonymous with his look.
A Wardrobe That Captured an Era
Photographed by Ewen Spencer, Oh My Mosch explores hundreds of garments collected by Bushkin during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Much of the archive had been carefully stored in his mother’s loft on Caledonian Road in North London, preserving pieces that rarely saw another outing after their appearances in music videos or performances.
Spencer first began documenting the collection in 2015, uncovering a remarkable selection of European designer fashion. Franco Moschino, Versace, Castelbajac and Dolce & Gabbana all feature in an archive built around luxurious fabrics and provocative menswear. There were garments originally intended for wealthy European customers, but they eventually ended up on the dancefloors of British raves.
Reebok Classics also occupy an important place in the story. They were never seen as just footwear for the UK garage generation, but part of an outfit they wore every single day (and night) worn by artists, DJs, ravers and cultural outsiders. Their continued presence reflects a connection that never depended on nostalgia or a comeback. The community never stopped wearing the sneakers, and that’s exactly why Reebok Classics are still relevant today.
Reebok Brings the Archive Into the Present
To celebrate the book, Reebok, Spencer and Bushkin turned the launch into an experience with a special event at Kachette in London. Guests were invited into Bushkin’s world through a curated display of designer garments, Reebok Classics, personal memorabilia and photographs captured by Spencer. The evening also festured a special performance from Heartless Crew.
“From a random idea I had a few years ago to physically holding a copy of this book in my hand is the best feeling ever,” says Bushkin. “I’m so grateful to be able to showcase my collection with the world, and to collaborate with Reebok is the cherry on top. This project is truly a dream come true.”
A Special Reebok Classics Leather From the Archive
The collaboration also includes a limited reproduction of one of Bushkin’s personal archive pairs: the Classic Leather. Recreated in premium leather, the special edition also keeps a connection to the original while introducing personal details such as an iced outsole with “MC Bushkin” printed underneath.
The limited-edition Reebok Classic Leathers will be gifted to a select list of friends and family. The Oh My Mosch book will be available to purchase from ewenspencer.com, friendeditions.com and selected bookstores stores on October 29th 2026.
