Peaceful Research Announces Debut Manchester Exhibition at Daily Spaces Studios

There’s a growing sense that something new is taking shape between automotive culture and contemporary art, and Peaceful Research are positioning themselves right art the heart of it. Now, the duo steps into a new moment, announcing their debut Manchester exhibition set to take over Daily Spaces Studio across the weekend of March 28 and March 29, 2026.

For a practice that has quickly built momentum through meticulous craft and concept-driven output, this first public showcase feels like a statement instead of an introduction. Peaceful Research is reshaping automotive history.

The Core of the Exhibition

At the core of the exhibition is a body of work that transforms mechanical artefacts into considered, tactile pieces. These aren’t replicas tho. They’re built from original components, usually reclaimed or obsolete, all carrying its own history before being reworked into something new.

Among the headline pieces is PR002C, a fully working clock constructed from an original Ferrari 400GT speedometer. This piece leans into the original identity of the car, preserving the raw mechanical characteristics. Elsewhere, the PR002G introduces silk-screen printed driving gloves, whule PR002B sees a BMW E30 bonnet reimagined through layered racing decals.

The PR002D, a full car door recontextualised as a stonealone object. This object is removed from its original environment, and becomes a sculpture. Across all items, the approach remains consistent.

Built in Craft

Part of what makes Peaceful Research’s output so powerful is the driving forces behind it. Both founders have experience in wjat they do. Varker, whose work has long intersected with the high-performance world of Formula 1, has contributed to visual identities and helmet designs for icons like Lando Norris, while also lending his creative style to brands like Nike, adidas, and New Balance.

Ryan, the other founder, operates more within the realm of spatial design and world-building. His work focuses on constructing immersive environments for brands, translating ideas into physical experiences. Alongside this, his ongoing engagement with classic car culture, as a builder and collector, grounds the project.

Exhibition Details

The exhibition is set within the industrial surroundings of Ancoats, this environment mirrors the ethos of the work, raw, textured and charged with history. Over the weekend visitors will be able to move through the space at their own pace, engaging with each piece and the narrative around it.

Refreshments will be available throughout the event, and a limited run of 50 A3 prints offers attendees the chance to take a fragment of the project home. Copies of SLICKS Magazine, supportinb the exhibition will also be available.
