Berlin-based record label PAN continues to redefine the boundaries of fashion and music through its ongoing collaboration with Nike. The latest edition, the PAN x Nike Air 180 NIX “Yellow”, embraces the experimental ethos of electronic music culture with a design that’s both forward-thinking and rooted in Nike heritage.
The shoe was created by PAN founder Bill Kouligas and fuses the retro DNA of the Air Max 180 with unconventional craftsmanship. Its upper features a blend of layered textiles, shrink-wrapped detailing, and glossy overlays. The weathered finish is deliberate, intended to reflect the raw, lived-in textures of underground club spaces.
The yellow-based colour palette adds to the visual impact, bringing warmth and energy to the silhouette. Branding is kept deliberately minimal, encouraging focus on materials and construction. Underfoot, Nike’s classic Air 180 cushioning ensures lasting comfort, linking back to the sneaker’s original running performance roots.
Each pair is also a one-of-one experience. Through a collaboration with Milan’s Rayon Vert workshop, parts of the production were hand-customised during Milan Design Week, ensuring no two pairs are exactly alike. That handcrafted element gives the shoe a truly collectible edge.
This release blurs the line between wearable art and streetwear staple a standout moment for both Nike and PAN as they continue to push creative boundaries.
