ODITI x KidSuper Are Turning the Australian Open into a Collectible Art Moment

The Australian Open is the start of an entire tennis season. Played every January in Melbourne, the tournament is held when players are fresh and rankings are still fragile. While Wimbledon leans more on tradition and Roland-Garros on endurance, the Australian Open is all about energy. The tournament is played in the blistering Australian sun and late at night, all while the crowd is loudly cheering.

For two whole weeks the city is turned upside down to focus on the tournament. Trams are packed with fans, cafes open early, bars stay open very late and everyone breathes and sweats tennis. The Melbourne Park is part of the festivities, with multiple show courts, outdoor screens, food pop-ups and live music the city encourages people to move and discover.

The Australian Open has always been more than just tennis tho, besides the matches, the tournament has become a wider cultural moment, bringing in fashion, music and art from across the world. This year, ODITI and KidSuper tap into that cultural moment with a one-off poster that celebrates the energy, creativity and cultural reach of the tournament.

Produced exclusively for the tournament, the artwork brings together ODITI’s artist-led, museum-quality approach to printmaking with KidSuper’s recognisable visual language. The poster captures the movement, emotion and atmosphere that surrounds the Open each year.

KidSuper’s Visual Language on a Global Stage

KidSuper, founded by Brooklyn-based creative Colm Dillane, has always operated at the intersection between art, fashion and storytelling. KidSuper is known for his hand-drawn graphics and expressive characters, the brand has a reputation for bringing fine-art sensibilities into spaces nobody expects. KidSuper’s playful aesthetic reframes the Australian Open through an artistic lens. The poster captures the exact excitement, tension of competition, the joy of the audience and the creative, vibrant pulse that surrounds Melbourne during the first Grand Slam of the season.

ODITI’s involvement ensures the project keeps the intensions and quality it is meant to have. As a global art print publisher, ODITI works directly with artists to produce archival prints designed to last, giving just as much importance to the process, materials and finish. The brand focuses on creating works that hold value and remain in perfect quality.
