Maserati has once again pushed the boundaries of automotive design with the launch of Fuoriserie By, an exclusive collection of customised vehicles curated by tastemakers and creative visionaries.
Among the standout collaborations is the partnership with Hiroshi Fujiwara, the legendary Japanese designer and pioneer of street culture. Together, they’ve reimagined Maserati’s groundbreaking MC20 Cielo, blending performance and luxury into two stunning special editions.
MC20 Cielo Reimagined
For this collaboration, Maserati and Fujiwara introduced two bespoke configurations of the MC20 Cielo under the Fuoriserie personalisation programme. These editions capture the essence of bespoke luxury while keeping the thrilling performance of Maserati’s super sports car.
- Nero Vulcano Edition: A striking black-on-black masterpiece, this version features the iconic Fragment Design double lightning bolt logo rendered in matte black, replacing Maserati’s traditional Trident emblem on the tonneau cover.
- Bianco Audace Edition: The Bianco Audace is a white rendition with the Fragment Design double lightning bolt logo in matte white, creating a fresh yet bold aesthetic.
Distinctive Craftsmanship Inside and Out
- 6-Way Power Sport Seats: Upholstered in black full leather with contrasting white stitching, delivering both comfort and a modern aesthetic.
- Trident Embroidered Headrests: A nod to Maserati’s iconic branding, ensuring the legacy of the Trident remains intact.
- Sport Steering Wheel: Wrapped in black Alcantara with white stitching for a sporty feel.
- Exclusive Metal Plate: Positioned between the headrests, the plate commemorates the collaboration between Maserati and Hiroshi Fujiwara, further cementing the car’s exclusivity.
Performance Meets Luxury
While the MC20 Cielo’s bespoke aesthetics are breathtaking, its heart remains the F1 derived V6 Nettuno engine. This 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged powerhouse delivers thrilling performance, making it a true super sports car.
The car also features a unique retractable smart glass roof, which can transform from clear to opaque with the touch of a button, adding an innovative layer to the immersive driving experience.
Fuoriserie By: A Programme for the Bold
Maserati’s Fuoriserie program is designed to empower clients to create their own ‘out of the ordinary’ automotive experiences. Klaus Busse, Head of Design for Maserati, describes it as an opportunity for clients to express their personalities and passions through custom features or entirely bespoke designs.
The Fragment Influence
The collaboration with Hiroshi Fujiwara goes further than aesthetics. It fuses Maserati’s luxury heritage with Fujiwara’s style, making the MC20 Cielo a rolling work of art. Replacing the traditional Trident emblem with Fragment’s lightning bolt icon symbolizes this unique partnership, bridging the gap between Italian automotive excellence and contemporary design.
Available On Request
Both the Nero Vulcano and Bianco Audace configurations are now available upon request, offering buyers the chance to own a piece of automotive and design history.
