Lorenz.OG “Air in Colour”

Central London is the setting for #AIRincolour this weekend – an event that will put designer Lorenzo Federici’s – AKA LORENZ.OGs – back catalogue on display. Not only that, it is also host for the release of his latest Nike iterations; the AIR MAX 95 x LORENZ.OG “VOLCANO” & “DUSK”

For his latest release – it’s a Willy Wonka type of affair, as you’ll have to nab yourself a Golden Ticket to get your hands on one of the 100 pairs available this weekend.

With his classic use of a smooth gradient on both pairs, they’re sure to excite the senses and have his fans clamouring for them. The Volcanos are reminiscent of lava’s dark reds and bright oranges, while the colour switches towards grey and then burnt black as you move towards the midsole. The Dusks, however, brighten up the mood with a pristine white taking you from the midsole almost to the tongue, then switching to a warming orange, pink and purple that lets you know it’s a LORENZ.OG special.

The Air Max 95 originally dropped in, of course, 1995. And, originally released for £110.00 – hence the nickname “110s”. The original designer Sergio Lozano based his design on the human anatomy and spine, something that made it a sure stand-out from Nike’s previous models. With visible cushioning in the forefoot and heel, they’re one comfy fit, and LORENZ.OG has taken note of the original colourways, where gradients were used with grey tones and neon accents. Although originally a performance sneaker, it’s stayed strong in the streets ever since.

So get down to  #AIRincolour, from January 27-28th at 59 Greek St, London. Sizes available are UK 5-13 and they’ll retail for £110… but remember… that’s if you’ve got the Golden Ticket.
