KEEN and 114.index Reframe Trail Running Through Lived-in Performance

KEEN continues its expansion into trail running for Spring/Summer 2026. Partnering with 114.index to present its SEEK and ROAM silhouettes. After more than two years of development, KEEN officially entered the trail running category in late 2025 with the launch of the SEEK trail runner, a silhouette designed to combine the brand’s long-standing reputation for durability and comfort with a lighter, more responsive feel tailored towards technical movement. Built through direct feedback from runners and informated by the brand’s “Consciously Created” philosophy, the SEEK marked a big shift forcthe Oregon-based company.

Earlier this year, KEEN expanded the category even more with the introduction of the ROAM, an adaptive everyday trail runner designed to transition naturally between gravel, dirt and urban surfaces. Both models represent KEEN’s evolving approach towards modern trail footwear, where performance is key.

Capturing Trail Culture

The campaign developed alongside 114.index focuses on the reality of trail running culture, specifically the moments immediately after finishing a run, when footwear and clothing carry the marks of movement, terrain and distance.

The visual concept takes inspiration from trail events and transitional spring running gear, pairing the shoes with compression socks, running belts, head torches and layered outerwear to recreate the atmosphere of runners stepling directly from the trail into the studio.

“There’s something about the way you carry yourself after a long run,” explained 114.index founder Lewis Wilson. “A certain confidence, both in yourself and in the shoes that carried you through.”
