KARHU is reaching back into its running archive for the return of the Fulcrum Star, reviving a silhouette that first released four decades ago with the same bold attitude that made it stand out in the first place.
To mark the reintroduction, KARHU built a campaign around movement, optimism and youthful energy, taking direct inspiration from the technology and visual language behind the original shoe. The Fulcrum Star takes its name from the Fulcrum propulsion system, a piece of running innovation designed around forward movement, and that idea becomes the central theme of the new campaign.

The campaign unites creative Kristof West and artist and musician Isa Zichterman, better known as MS PALACE. Both operate across music, fashion and visual culture, making them the perfect representatives of the creative energy KARHU wants to associate with the Fulcrum Star.
Four decades after its debut, KARHU is bringing back the original colourway, retaining its vibrant ‘80s character. Bright colour, retro running DNA and an energetic campaign give the return a distinctly optimistic feel.
The KARHU Fulcrum Star releases on Friday, 4 September 2026, via KARHU.com, KARHU concept stores in Helsinki, Tokyo, Turin and Cuneo, alongside select retailers worldwide for €130 / £110 / $150 in Gray Flannel / Bright White, Thyme / Saffron, Jet Black / Campanula, Aurora / Verdant Green and Silver / Spicy Orange.
