Foot Locker and Italian rapper ANNA, Italy’s most-streamed female artist on Spotify, are opening the second chapter of their collaboration with a fresh take on the Nike TN. Following May’s Pink Satin release, the partnership is back with the Nike TN Tartan, swapping the sophisticated sheen of the first drop for a much bolder visual identity.
The new sneaker combines the iconic and instantly recognisable silhouette of the Nike TN with a vibrant yellow hue and an all-over tartan pattern. The result pushes the silhouette towards something far more expressive, using on street culture’s most recognisable patterns to reflect the artists personal style.
From Pink Satin to Tartan
The contrast between both chapters is done on purpose. The Pink TN Satin explored the more elevated and sophisticated side of the “Baddie” aesthetic, while the new TN Tartan makes that same attitude even louder and clearer.
Tartan has long carried some associations with rebellion, punk and underground cultures. Here, Nike, ANNA and Foot Locker reinterpret those references through a contemporary street-feminine lens, giving the traditional pattern a new role within the Nike TN world. The vibrant yellow base intensifies the effect, giving the sneaker a bolder, more aggressive look which turns the sneaker into a statement piece designed to stand out during the autumn season.
ANNA fits perfectly within this collaboration. Her strong and uncompromising style is an extension of the sneaker itself, with the TN Tartan aimed at a community that embraces individuality and is comfortable taking up space.
Milan Celebrates the Next Chapter
To mark the release, Foot Locker brought together fashion and music voices for an exclusive multi-sensory event in Milan on 17 September. Held in a location connected to the city’s street culture, the experience brought together both chapters of the collaboration, placing the Pink TN Satin alongside the new Yellow Tartan TN.
The two-storey space moved between music, fashion and community. Local DJs, signature drinks and curated food created the opening atmosphere before guests entered ANNA’s TN Room, an intimate space styled around her personal bedroom.
Inside, two Y2K-inspired wardrobe corners showcased looks built around both releases, while an interactive styling station allowed guests to experiment with accessoires and create their own combinations. Limited-edition gadgets completed the experience.
A TN Designed to Stand Out
The new colourway keeps the same shape and fit that the first release had, while premium elements create a contrast between the vibrant yellow and geometric tartan pattern. For their second chapter, Foot Locker and ANNA once again used the Baddie aesthetic as a vehicle for female empowerment and the evolution of street culture. The campaign reunites the creative team behind the first release, with director Attilio Cusano, photographer Remi Ferrante and stylist Ramona Tabita returning to bring life to the release.
The Nike TN Tartan is available right now exclusively at selected Foot Locker stores and online for £184,99
