Converse announced global K-pop star KARINA of aespa as its newest family member, celebrating a new chapter for the brand that celebrates creativity, individuality and personal style.
Known for her powerful stage presence and distinctive fashion identity, KARINA represents a generation of artists who move freely between different aesthetics without being defined by one specific style. Her appearance to self-expression aligns with Converse’s long-standing belief in authenticity and the freedom to create your own path.
“Both on stage and off, I love breaking the mold and exploring my individuality through style, and Converse is a natural canvas for that,” Karina said. “I’m excited to join the Converse family and inspire others to celebrate their creativity and express themselves boldly.”
First Look at KARINA’s Converse Debut
For her first Converse campaign, KARINA showcases two of the brand’s most recognisable silhouettes: the Chuck 70 X and the Run Star Crush.
The Chuck 70 X reimagined Converse’s timeless canvas icon through elevated craftsmanship and modern detailing, bringing a refined update to the classic silhouette. Meanwhile, the Run Star Crush embraces a more experimental direction, featuring exaggerated proportions, sculptural design elements and a lightweight platform construction.
As a member of a global K-pop group aespa, KARINA has become one of the most influential style figures of her generation. Her ability to combine performance, fashion and individuality make her a natural addition to Converse’s creative community.
