Next year, Adidas continues its rich tradition of collaborations with the revered Japanese streetwear brand Bape by releasing two new versions of the iconic Adidas Superstar, accompanied by a matching apparel collection. Scheduled for release in March 2025, this much-anticipated drop promises to merge the classic appeal of Adidas with Bape’s distinct style.
The upcoming Bape x Adidas Superstars will be available in two striking colorways: White/Black (JR2701) and Blue/White (JR2702), retailing at £140 for adults, with the White/Black pair also available in infant sizes for £70. These sneakers feature distinctive design elements, including Bape’s signature camo tastefully embossed into the leather, a gold ape head logo on the heels, dual-branded lacelocks, and asymmetrical branding that showcases Adidas’ iconic three stripes on the lateral side and the Bape star on the medial side, with the design flipped on the opposite shoe. The White/Black pair has a clean white base with black stripes and gold accents, while the Blue/White variant features a vibrant blue with white stripes, both adorned with gold detailing.
To complement the sneakers, the collaboration extends to a full line of apparel and accessories, including track suits, tees, full-zip hoodies, a cap, a side bag, and socks, all designed to elevate your streetwear game. This collaboration, building on previous successful partnerships between Adidas and Bape, reinforces both brands’ positions in sneaker and streetwear culture.
The Superstar, originally debuting in 1969, remains one of Adidas’ most influential models, and this collaboration aims to reignite interest in it by merging its legacy with Bape’s contemporary edge. Although the release is planned for March 2025, the exact date may shift, so staying tuned for official updates is crucial.
