Billionaire Boys Club and Reebok spent more than two decades building a relationship around shared ideas of sport, street culture and design. Now, the two brands take that partnership somewhere new, bringing Billionaire Boys Club’s recognisable universe to one of Reebok’s most iconic silhouettes. For the first time, Billionaire Boys Club puts its own spin on the Club C 85, turning the tennis classic into a tribute to the moon.
The collaboration follows the recent return of the Reebok Board Flip, an archival skate silhouette that the brands previously developed wifh Icecream. This time, however, the partnership moves away from the skate worlds and towards a model with a different kind of legacy. Reebok introduced the Club C back in 1985, as a tennis shoe, but the silhouette quickly moved outsixe the court.
Billionaire Boys Club Builds a Lunar Club C
Billionaire Boys Club approaches the Club C 85 through the lunar imagery that shaped the brand since its earliest days. A monochromatic grey palette establishes that connection, while an ostrich-textured upper gives the silhouette a tactile new surface. The subtle texture adds depth without overwhelming the streamlined proportions that make the Club C so recognisable.
The real transformation happens underneath. A translucent ice outsole reveals imagery inspired by the surface of the moon, turning the sole into a visual extension of Billionaire Boys Club’s universe. The brand continues that theme across the sneaker with chrome-finished debossing, a Standing Astronaut and a Mantra woven tongue label.
A Flying B monogram appears on the insole as a moon graphic, adding another reference to the brand’s visual language without taking attention away from the upper. The translucent outsole also keeps the original Club C tread pattern, preserving a direct link to Reebok’s archive beneath the more experimental treatment.
Tonal grey laces keep the monochromatic approach intact, while a contrasting purple option gives the buyer the chance to add some more colour.
A New Chapter
The Club C 85 marks an important shift for the Reebok and Billionare Boys Club partnership and opens up another parf of Reebok’s archive to the brand with the opportunity to reinterpret a silhouette that has become a generational staple.
