Being a Jordan Brand athlete comes with perks most sneakerheads can only dream of, and Cam Jordan just reminded us all why. The New Orleans Saints defensive end recently took to social media to show off a jaw-dropping birthday care package from Jumpman, featuring not only the fragment design x Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low but also a never-before-seen Air Jordan 1 Low 85 “Board of Greatness” PE.

This ultra-exclusive pair celebrates the 40th anniversary of the Air Jordan 1 with elegance and restraint. Dressed in a crisp white leather base, the sneaker features soft grey hits on the Swoosh, heel tab, and sockliner, channeling a clean, neutral tone that echoes Jordan Brand’s elevated DNA. The design leans into the Air Jordan 1 Retro 85 cut, a shape that more accurately mirrors the original 1985 version, an appropriate tribute to four decades of Jumpman history.
But what truly sets this sneaker apart is its scarcity and meaning. Just 180 individually numbered pairs were made, each stamped on the heel and marked with special “Board of Greatness” logos on both the sneaker and its custom hangtag. The name pays homage to Jordan Brand’s Board of Governors, an invite-only collective that includes athletes, entertainers, friends and family, and internal brand leaders. While it may sound corporate, the Board is actually a celebration of the people shaping Jordan Brand’s cultural footprint.

This isn’t the first time Jordan Brand has honoured its inner circle through exclusive sneakers. The 2018 Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Board of Governors”, limited to just 88 pairs, has become one of the most coveted PEs in history. The 2025 “Board of Greatness” Low continues that legacy in refined fashion, marking a new chapter in an ongoing story of exclusivity, heritage, and loyalty.
Sadly, unless you’re part of that tightly guarded inner circle, this Air Jordan 1 Low 85 will remain out of reach. But its existence offers a glimpse into how Jordan Brand continues to fuse performance, legacy, and cultural cachet, one limited pair at a time.
