The white Comme des Garçons x Air Jordan 11 was unveiled on the FW26 Paris Fashion Week runway under the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus banner, the shoe avoids loud collaboration tropes entirely. Instead, branding is handled with the same restraint that defines the rest of the design. There’s no oversized logo takeover or contrast hits. Comme des Garçons lets the silhouette breathe, trusting the weight of both names without needing to shout.
Branding appears subtly and intentionally. “Comme des Garçons Homme Plus” is applied in small, clean typography at the heel, replacing the usual loud heel branding you’d expect from a Jordan 11. Inside, the insole carries co-branded markings, reinforcing the collaboration. This approach fits perfectly with Rei Kawakubo’s long-standing philosophy: the design comes first, the label second.
The rest of the shoe supports that mindset. By removing patent leather and opting for softer mesh and leather, the AJ11 becomes a canvas rather than a statement piece. The white upper allows the branding to exist as part of the structure, not decoration layered on top. Even the tooling beneath stays neutral, grounding the shoe in Jordan heritage without pulling attention away from the design language.
