Known for his gradient-driven visual language and meticulous exploration of colour, motion, and energy, LORENZ.OG has always redefined how design can create emotion through transitions. This time, the multidisciplinary creative turns his focus on the beauty of sunrise. In partnership with Mizuno Running and Footpatrol, LORENZ.OG introduces “First Light”, a capsule blurring the lines between technical performance and visual storytelling. The collaboration is all about LORENZ.OG’s fascination with gradients, but rather than using the gradients that redefined his previous work, he opts for something softer, more organic. Inspired by the tones of dawn, he created a narrative of renewal and reflection. The First Light palette falls between warm amber, dusty rose, and cool lilac. It marks the first time LORENZ.OG has explored this colour palette.
A Technical Expression of Motion
The First Light collection is a running-ready ensemble designed for both performance and aesthetic integrity. Comprising a lightweight jacket, technical vest, performance tee, running shorts, cap, and two sock options, the capsule merges Mizuno’s athletic innovations with LORENZ.OG’s artistic style. Each piece is engineered with technical materials and breathable construction, reflecting Mizuno’s commitment to excellence.
Rome at Dawn: A Story Told in Light
To tell the story of First Light, the campaign was shot at sunrise in Rome, the hometown of LORENZ.OG’s family. The choice of location is symbolic, it is a return to the origin, the place where it all began, a place where his personal history and creativity came together. As the early morning sun falls over Rome’s cobblestones and terracotta walls, it reflects the capsule’s spirit: calm, reflective, and full of promise, promises about a beautiful day, and capsule. A sense of peace and comfort.
The subtle gradient on the garments mirrors the sky’s shift from a violet to a golden colour. There is something rather poetic about this capsule, an artist inspired by light, returning to the place where his own light began, to celebrate the same light in the purest form there is.
Footpatrol Leads the Run With Community at Heart
Footpatrol knows how important the community is, they’re at the centre of every collaboration Footpatrol does. To celebrate the launch of their latest collaboration Footpatrol will host an early-morning run on Saturday, 1 November 2025, starting from their Berwick Street store at 08:30 in the morning, when the sun is rising.
The event embodies the idea that the power of sport and fashion lies in connection, connecting with your inner self, each other, the brands, and the garments. It doesn’t how.
