The Whitaker Group x New Balance 740 “Willful Bias” shines a spotlight on one of the brand’s overlooked basketball silhouettes. The collab follows up Whitaker Group’s successful 990v4 and 998 projects, continuing the theme of heritage reimagined through intentional storytelling.
The sneaker is dressed in black and gold leather overlays layered over a clean white mesh base, giving it a bold yet balanced appearance. Leather trim around the collar and tongue adds a refined edge, while textured black mesh panels on the heel deepen the composition.
On the tongue, “WB” branding reinforces the Willful Bias theme, while custom insoles decorated with artwork touch on discovery, individuality, and resilience.
