The upper is built from thick suede overlays combined with breathable mesh panelling, giving the shoe both durability and ventilation. Angular sections of the upper are trimmed with reflective 3M, while thin round laces run through reinforced eyestays for a secure lockdown. Branding is deliberately understated, with discreet NTW hits placed on the sides and heel.
Beneath the foot, the SX makes use of Strobel construction and a removable insole, designed to offer extra comfort and the option to swap insoles if needed. The midsole keeps the bold proportions NOTWOWAYS is known for, while remaining lightweight. A chevron-patterned outsole rounds things off, ensuring reliable grip and support.
True to the brand’s design DNA, the SX carries NOTWOWAYS’ signature stubby last shape, giving it that slightly compact, stylised profile that stands out against more traditional runners. Each pair is finished with a small extra detail, a NOTWOWAYS box logo sticker attached to the hangtag.
The NOTWOWAYS SX “Barely Blue” is set to release on 30 September 2025, through notwoways.com with a retail price of £165.
