The New Balance 2010 Iridescent Black features a mix of charcoal mesh, matte black overlays, and burnt-bronze iridescent panels makes the shoe feel special. This colourway is pure understatement.
The upper stays mostly blacked out, but those bronze sections, especially around the midfoot and heel, shift tone depending on how the light hits them. Sometimes they look almost copper.
Sometimes they fall right back into shadow. The layered sidewalls, the vented mesh that feels like early-2000s running gear, it all works. But the palette in this pair gives it a darker, more industrial edge.
Even the “N” logo plays into it, outlined in a smoky, bronze-to-black fade that ties everything together without looking forced. The midsole is easily the star. The foam is a deep graphite, but those metallic inserts around the heel flick between brown, purple, and dark rose depending on the angle.
