Launching 4th March 2026, Kickers joins forces wifh A-COLD-WALL* to release a radical reinterpretation of the Kick Hi, one that reframes the silhouette through an industrial, deconstructed lens while still keeping its original DNA.
Few boots hold the same cultural weight in Britain as the Kick Hi. Embedded in school years and music scenes. Following the 50th anniversary of the model, this collaboration signals a new chapter for the brand.
Where Kickers brings decades of British heritage and deep ties to music culture, A-COLD-WALL* applies its architectural design language, rooted in material experimentation and reflections on modern London’s working-class landscape. The result is a silhouette that feels at once familiar and entirely reimagined.
Deconstruction as Design Language
At first glance, the shape remains true to the original Kick Hi, the same high-cut profile and sturdy feel that defined generations. Look closer, however, and the ACW* collaboration becomes clear.
The upper arrives in distressed leather, intentionally weathered to give each pair a tactile, lived-in character. This raw exterior is contrasted by layered suede panelling that partially conceals the lacing system and wraps around the heel counter. It’s a subtle but deliberate shift: structural elements are both revealed and hidden, echoing A-COLD-WALL*’s signature exploration of exposure and form.
Inside, exposed foam lines the collar, a nod to deconstructed garment techniques, while a plush sheepskin lining introduces an unexpected softness.
The Fleurette
The iconic Kickers fleurette is still present, but receives a collaborative update. Designed exclusively for this release, the tag mixes Kickers’ signature red with A-COLD-WALL*’s blue.
Bone and Onyx
The collaboration comes in two limited-edition colourways: Bone and Onyx.
Bone leans into a pale, chalky finish that accentuates the distressed leather texture and layered suede detailing. The lighter tone brings the exposed foam collar and stitching into sharper focus, highlighting the boot’s reconstructed elements. Against this neutral base, the red and blue collaborative accents feel crisp and intentional.
Onyx, meanwhile, delivers a darker, more monolithic interpretation. Black leather and suede create depth and shadow, amplifying the silhouette’s architectural quality. In this colourway, the coloured fleurette and outsole plug stand out with graphic clarity, cutting through the tonal upper.
