The Hibbett x adidas Superstar “State Fair” is a love letter to Texas and a bold celebration of state fair culture. Limited to just 1,320 pairs, the release doubles as a home-state pride piece while remaining a collectible nod to the Superstar’s enduring place in sneaker history.
The upper is dressed in embossed blue leather with a quilted pattern that gives the shoe depth, whilst small storytelling details bring the theme to life.
On the outsole sits an outline of the state of Texas, ensuring the pride runs literally through the sole of the design. The lace dubrae has been reimagined to resemble a belt buckle, a clever detail that adds to the cowboy aesthetic.
Inside, you’ll find mismatched tongue graphics, a corndog on one, a Ferris wheel on the other, nods to fairground food and entertainment that instantly conjure the feel of a Texas festival. Blue accents continue across the laces and tongue tabs for tonal consistency.
But the sneaker is only half the story. To mark the release, Hibbett is hosting a launch event on 20 September in Dallas, complete with cowboy hat giveaways, live music, bolo tie workshops, Superstar bull rides, basketball hoops, and state fair snacks.
