Gander

Gander SS26 Back to the Dune

For SS26, Manchester’s own GANDER went back to somewhere that actually means something. Formby. Sand dunes, pine forests and a stretch of coastline where the wind is never gone. The team found themselves trudging across the beach in 40mph gusts and this is the place the brand’s founder grew up visiting as a kid.

With AW25 behind them, SS26 sees the brand pushing further into textile experimentation. There’s a noticeable lean towards natural and organic fibres. The colour palette takes its cues directly from Formby’s landscape: sandy beiges, washed greens, sea-blown greys and deep earth tones.

The New Additions

Five new styles lead the charge this season: the Le Mans Shirt, Reversible T-Shirt, Narrow Raglan T-Shirt, Date Shirt and Eyes Cap. Each arrives in multiple colourways that reflect the environment that inspired them.

The Le Mans Shirt is the centre piece. Inspired by an old French workwear jacket that doesn’t belong to any one era, it blends that utilitarian backbone with a more contemporary cut. The structure through the shoulders gives it presence, but it sits easily through the body. Patch pockets and visible construction details nod to workwear roots, while the overall finish feels refined. The name itself is a quiet reference to the French city and subtly pairs heritage abroad with the founder’s own Bolton background. The Reversible T-Shirt does exactly what it says and can be worn in two ways. The seams are carefully handled so each side feels finished. Two tones, one garment. It’s practical without shouting about it.

The Narrow Raglan T-Shirt reworks a classic athletic shape. The raglan sleeve softens the shoulder line, while the slightly neater cut through the body keeps it feeling modern. The Date Shirt lands somewhere between a lightweight overshirt and a traditional button-down. Finishing the new drop is the Eyes Cap. Clean, unfussy, and properly shaped. Subtle detailing gives it personality without turning it into a statement piece.

Returning Staples

The SS26 collection also features garments that have worked in AW25.

The Hatton Hoodie evolves directly from the popular Crewneck. The proportions remain relaxed and wearable, but the fabrics has been tweaked a bit and have a softer hand feel, slightly improved structure. The Stevenson Shorts and Cottonopolis Shorts take inspiration from their full-length trouser counterparts, cropped neatly above the ankle. They carry the same easy volume and considered construction as the trousers, just reworked for warmer days.

Rounding everything off is the Peveril Jacket, arguably one of the strongest pieces this season. It arrives in a lightweight cotton-nylon blend with a subtle texture reminiscent of seersucker. There’s a slight crinkle to the fabric that gives it character, while keeping it breathable and easy to wear.
