As part of their 20th anniversary celebrations, END. has taken a nostalgic turn into the everyday with their latest collaboration, a four piece capsule with Italian outerwear innovators C.P. Company.
Titled the “Corner Shop” collection, this drop pays homage to a uniquely British institution: the local newsagent. In doing so, it seamlessly blends cultural memory with cutting-edge material science, offering a collection that’s as much about identity as it is about design.
Honouring a British Staple: The Corner Shop
Following a series of coastal excursions and collaborstions, END. continues its reflective celebration of British culture with a thematic nod to one of its most enduring institutions, the corner shop. Often overlooked, these spaces play a vital role in UK life, from the early-morning paper run to the late-night snack hunt. END.’s collection channels this familiarity across three themes: the greengrocer, the newsagent, and the round-the-clock convenience store, all forming pillars of the Corner Shop Collection.
In partnership with C.P. Company, END. zeroes in on one of the more whimsical aspects of the corner shop experience: the confectionery aisle. This is where the collaboration draws its visual inspiration, from hard-boiled sweets and fluorescent wrappers to soft neon glows spilling onto the streets after dark.
Introducing the Kan-D Fabric
Central to the capsule is C.P. Company’s Kan-D Fabric, short for Klear Achronic Nylon Dyed. Developed with a monofilament nylon yarn, the fabric is known for its translucent appearance and a mirrored sheen. Each piece is flattened during the manufacturing process with special rollers, giving it that unmistakable glossy finish.
This doesn’t stop at surface-level gloss. Kan-D’s complex construction gives it a structural sharpness and reflectivity that interacts dramatically with light, much like the nostalgic glow of a neon-lit storefront. The collection’s icy blue palette only heightens the effect, offering a modern interpretation of the corner shop experience, through a distinctly technical lens.
Four Pieces, One Concept: From Utility to Icon
The END. x C.P. Company capsule includes a Goggle Puffer, Technical Vest, Bomber Jacket, and a shoulder bag. All crafted from the Kan-D fabric and each representing a different take on material futurism and utility.
The Goggle Puffer serves as the centrepiece. With C.P. Company’s iconic goggles intergrated in the hood, this outerwear silhouette is a masterclass in functional luxury. It’s a garment built with performance in mind, yet stylised with that unmistakable visual nod.
Alongside it, the Technical Vest and Bomber Jacket further embody the collaboration’s central theme of utilitarian innovation. These are garments grounded in everyday wearability, yet made otherworldly through the shimmering, translucent fabric and iridescent detailing.
Finally, the shoulder bag rounds out the offering, compact and durable, but with the same eye-catching treatment that defines the capsule.
Each piece also includes co-branded iridescent goggles, reinforcing the intersection between END’s streetwear curation and C.P. Company’s heritage of textile experimentation.
END. x C.P. Company: More Than Just Outerwear
While the physical collection is composed of four garmenrs, its significance runs deeper. The “Corner Shop” capsule reflects a cultural memory that will resonate with anyone raised around Britian’s high streets and alleyway tucked shops. At the same time, it demonstrates what can happen when nostalgia is interpreted through advanced garment technology.
This collaboration is a tribute to the unnoticed spaces that have shaped generations, filtered through the lens of two brands that understand the power of cultural storytelling.
