Anything New York menswear retailer Cueva works on turns to gold… they recently joined forces with cult-favourite footwear label EPT to host a summer block party that brought serious heat to Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Outside its second retail location on Franklin Avenue, Cueva welcomed the neighborhood and beyond for a day-to-night celebration of style, sound, and community.
Known for championing independent designers with a strong point of view, Cueva, founded by Justin Felizzari, curates collections rooted in craftsmanship, originality, functionality, and value. With storefronts in Manhattan’s West Village and Greenpoint, the brand has become more than a store, it’s a cultural hub. That spirit was on full display during the party, which showcased exclusive colorways from EPT and special drops from local favorite Cobbler Bushwick.
Beats, Block, and a Brief Shutdown
The block was alive with a dynamic soundtrack from DJs Stonie Blue, Marco Weibel, and Moma Ready, spinning house to the late evening. The vibe was undeniable, so much so that it drew the attention of the NYPD. After a noise complaint and a second visit due to the crowd spilling onto Franklin Avenue, the event was officially shut down. But in true New York fashion, the party simply moved indoors, where it kept going well into the night.
Drinks, Slices, and Good Company
Guests stayed refreshed with canned beverages from Crooked Owl, Ramona, Cann, and Voss, and fueled up on slices from Best Pizza, a neighborhood staple. Among the crowd were familiar faces like Clayton Chambers, Jake Musser, Steven Onoja, alongside a lively mix of creatives, locals, and longtime supporters of both brands.
More Than a Store, A Movement
At its core, Cueva represents more than just menswear. It’s a space that uplifts emerging voices, encourages individual style, and fosters community. The July 23 block party was a reflection of that mission, an open invitation to explore, express, and connect.
