Brigade Unveils the First Installment of Spring/Summer ’25

After meeting BrigadeUS in Paris earlier this year, we’ve been eagerly anticipating their SS25 Lookbook, and it does not disappoint. Since discovering the brand last year, they’ve gone from strength to strength, refining their aesthetic and cementing their place in the conversation around forward-thinking design. Their ability to blend contemporary silhouettes with a raw, effortless energy makes them one of the most exciting names to watch. As of yesterday the team has officially launched the first instalment of their much-anticipated 3-part collection, setting the tone for a stylish and innovative season ahead. This release marks the beginning of an exciting journey, with each drop unveiling fresh designs and exclusive pieces that will be a must in your wardrobe.

Brigade SS25

Brigade debuted their SS25 collection on Friday, February 28th, unveiling a lineup influenced by co-founder and designer Aaron Maldonado’s experiences in Japan over the last decade, blended perfectly with his New York-ican roots. These influences are reflected in the intricate jewellery and flag motifs woven throughout the collection. This somewhat experimental collection bridges embroidery and weaving techniques with new screen-printing methods. The details touch on the rebellious nature of Puerto Ricans and Dominicans staying true to their heritage. A standout piece, the Lares Button-Up, features the first revolutionary flag of Puerto Rico, symbolising resistance against Spanish rule before American colonisation.

They way the brand plays with variations on staple streetwear, exemplified by the Pillbox Hat is a fresh take on the brand’s signature headwear. Paying homage to the graffiti scene and Maldonado’s NYC roots, the hat’s interior features the “all city” detail, referencing the Concrete Jungle graffiti world. Similarly, the F24 Matching Cargo Suit features functional pockets designed to fit a can of spray paint, reinforcing the brand’s streetwear DNA.
