Brendan Dunne Joins StockX to Lead Global Community Engagement 

Stockx, the global marketplace renowned for sneakers, streetwear and collectibles has appointed Brendan Dunne as it’s first ever Senior Director of Customer Community & Engagement. The new position reflects the platform’s evolving vision, one that prioritises cultural connection and community as much as commerce.

Brendan will be responsible for strengthening StockX’s ties with the sneaker, fashion and collectibles communities around the globe, acting as a voice for the brand, both online and in real life. With more than a decade spent shaping the conversation around sneaker culture, his appointment marks a step forward for StockX in its pursuit for a deeper, more authentic engagement.

From Complex to Community

Most recently, Dunne headed up the sneaker division at Complex, where he pivotal in developing editorial strategies, shaping brand partnerships, and producing content that resonated with sneakerheads.

He co-hosted both Complex Sneakers Podcast and Full Size Run, bringing cultural insights and humour to interviews with everyone from legendary designers like Tinker Hatfield to hip-hop legends like J-Balvin. These platforms made Dunne a familiar face and a trusted voice among fans and collectors.

His work has long bridged the gap between brand storytelling and community connection, skills that make Dunne uniquely qualified to help StockX become a cultural embedded platform.

Putting People at the Centre

This new role isn’t about speaking to the community, it is about listening, too. As StockX CEO Greg Schwartz explained:

With this role, we’re doubling down on our approach to community and customer engagement, and Brendan is the ideal person to drive that effort.”
