Japanese streetwear icon BAPE® and visionary designer Colm Dillane, the creative force behind KidSuper, have joined forces to break new ground with their collection: “A Super Ape”. This collaboration represents a new chapter in BAPE®’s prestigious BAPE® COLLECTIVE, a platform that invites cultural innovators to reimagine the brand’s iconic designs and patterns through their unique lens. BAPE® and KidSuper’s partnership merges the brands’ shared ethos of creativity and limitless potential, bringing a vision to life in a complete project.

The Collection: A focus on Art
The BAPE® by KidSuper collaboration blends the lines of streetwear as a vivid dialogue between art and the consumer. The collection features a daring reinterpretation of BAPE®’s most iconic motifs, showcasing Dillane’s bold and playful design perspective. A Debut at Paris Fashion Week
We are fortunate to have seen the BAPE® by KidSuper collection debuted at KidSuper’s Fall/Winter 2025 show, titled ‘From a Place I Have Never Been,’ during Paris Fashion Week thanks to the BAPE UK team. This marks BAPE®’s first-ever runway appearance at the prestigious event. Dillane partnered with renowned artist Daniel Wurtzel to deliver a transcendent showcase, blending performance art and fashion in a spectacle that captivated us all!

A Full-Circle Moment
For Colm, this partnership is deeply personal. Early in his career, Dillane would set up a makeshift screen-printing station near BAPE® drops, selling his creations directly to streetwear enthusiasts in line. Today, he has transitioned from a street-level creator to launching one of the most acclaimed collaborative collections to date with one of streetwear’s most influential brands. The collection reimagines BAPE®’s iconic designs through KidSuper’s playful and artistic lens. From bold outerwear to accessories, the pieces embody the synergy between the two brands’ creative DNA. The collection will be available in Spring 2025 at BAPE® stores and on BAPE.com.
