The Anaheim Ducks are once again teaming up with legendary skate brand Vans for a highly anticipated second drop of their exclusive collaboration. This time, Ducks players Leo Carlsson and Lukas Dostal take the creative lead, designing two limited edition sneakers that blend hockey culture with Vans’ deep Anaheim roots.
Designed by the Players, Inspired by the Game
Carlsson and Dostal’s designs were chosen by fans in an earlier competition, beating out designs from teammates Alex Killorn and Troy Terry. Their winning creations will debut ahead of the Ducks’ game on Sunday, March 23, when all four players will arrive at Honda Center wearing their custom sneakers.
Limited-Edition Sneakers Dropping 30 March
The Ducks x Vans collection officially launches on 30 March, with fans able to purchase the exclusive sneakers at the North entrance of Honda Center before the Ducks take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at 5 p.m. PT. Shoes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at noon, and a game ticket is required for purchase.
A Collaboration Like No Other
As the first and only professional sports franchise to collaborate with Vans, the Ducks are continuing to push boundaries. Last season’s Ducks x Vans 30th-anniversary collection was a massive success, selling out before puck drop and leading to 10,000 pairs sold through an extended online release.
A Celebration On and Off the Ice
To mark the launch, fans attending the game will have the chance to grab exclusive Ducks x Vans gear, including limited-edition jerseys designed by Violent Gentlemen Hockey Club.
The event will also feature a special appearance from Vans ambassador Steve Van Doren, son of Vans co-founder Paul Van Doren, alongside legendary Vans skaters like Tony Alva, Ray Barbee, Christian Hosoi, and more.
During the first intermission, the skaters will be signing autographs near Section 205, with Van Doren and Alva also hitting the Take Flight button to kick off the game.
This latest chapter in the Ducks x Vans partnership celebrates the intersection of sport, skate, and community, bringing together fans, players, and legends for a collection that’s as unique as the team itself.
