adidas Originals and SP5DER Reimagine Football Style With the New F50 Formotion

Football continues to shape fashion in increasingly unexpected ways, and adidas Originals’ latest collaboration with SP5DER is a perfect example of how sport’s influence now stretches far beyond the pitch. Returning after the success of thwir Supermodified Superstar partnership earlier this year, the two brands have revealed their first complete head-to-toe collection, anchored by the debut of an entirely new sneaker: the F50 Formotion.

Arriving during a summer dominated by football, the collection taps into the energy and individuality that have long defined both adidas and SP5DER. While rooted in the game’s visual language, the project pushes those references into a more fashion-focused space, combining performance heritage and the streetwear label’s bold and rebellious identity.

Introducing the F50 Formotion

At the heart of the collaboration sits the adidas x SP5DER F50 Formotion, a silhouette that brings together two very different corners of adidas’ archive. The upper takes inspiration from the iconic Adizero F50 III football boot, one of the most recognisable speed-focused models in the brand’s history, while the sole unit borrows adidas’ Formotion technology, originally developed for running.

The result is a sneaker with silver zig-zag mesh upper that is paired with premium leather overlays, while vivid pink accents inject a dose of SP5DER’s signature energy. Additional details include a lenticular tongue badge, graphic SP5DER branding on the heel and a metal hangtag that reinforces the shoe’s appeal.

Football Through the SP5DER Lens

The footwear is accompanied by a full apparel and accessories collection that leans heavily into football aesthetics. Jerseys feature oversized SP5DER branding across the chest and web graphics on the reverse, paired with matching shorts.

Elsewhere, track jackets and track pants feature rhinestone Three Stripes and SP5DER logos, adding a flashy edge to the collection. The collection is finished with the custom goalkeeper gloves and a cap featuring rhinestone details running down the centre.

Bringing the campaign to life is Spanish football star Lamine Yamal, who appears throughout the visual preparing for action inside a fictional locker room.

The adidas Originals x SP5DER collection launches via KINGSP5DER on 26 June before a wider global release on 1 July through adidas CONFIRMED, select retailers and adidas stores worldwide.
