Stone Island x New Balance When Innovation Meets the Pitch

Stone Island and New Balance have combined forces again to tell their ongoing story of design and performance. This latest collaboration returns to the world of football and blends New Balance’s sporting engineering with Stone Island’s material research. Together they create a collection built for speed. This time the spotlight is on a reworked Furon V8 boot and a technical Football Kit.

Engineering Performance

The Furon V8 is the statement piece of this collaboration, reimagined through Stone Island’s design ethos, the boot arrives in a monochrome palette. The upper is constructed from Hypoknit, bonded with a matte polyurethane ripstop texture, a nod to the brand’s fabric engineering heritage. Across the surface, subtle camouflage motifs and tonal 3D-printed logos lend quiet complexity, while the low-profile collar with reflective yarns mirrors familiar cues. The design is built around responsivenes, an off-set lacing system delivers security on the field, while the Speed Ctrl Stud ensures traction and control. The split-finish soleplate, combining matte forefoot paint with a chrome-electroplated heel, captures Stone Island’s fascination with using contrast in materials.

A Kit Born of Construction

The Football Kit follows the same performance-driven uniform as the boot. Made out of polyester jacquard, it features engineered mesh zones for ventilation and structural design. It is clear that this kit was made from a design first mentality. The bonded seams, the reinforced cover stitching and the reflective tape finishes are all premium. Across the jersey and shorts, raised logos and ripstop-textured accents are added. The dual-stripe motifs, also seen in the boot’s collar and socks, act as a connector between both.

Availability

The Stone Island x New Balance’s Furon V8 + Football Kit launches on the 19th of November through select Stone Island flagship stores, including Milan, London, Paris, Munich, New York, Los Angeles, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo Aoyama and online at stoneisland.com
