BAPE x adidas Samba “Black”

Few collaborations strike the balance between heritage and streetwear relevance as effectively as BAPE x adidas, and their take on the Samba continues this tradition with a refined execution.

Originally a football training shoe from the 1950s, the Samba has transcended into terrace culture, casualwear and global sneaker rotations, making it the perfect canvas for one of streetwear’s most recognisable names.

The standout feature is the bold white BAPE STA logo stitched on the lateral side panel, a direct nod to BAPE’s own footwear legacy, while the medial side remains loyal to adidas’ Three Stripes branding.

This Black edition uses a smooth black leather upper, instantly giving the silhouette a sleeker, sharper profile. This dual identity is central to the collaboration, merging BAPE’s disruptive street DNA with adidas’ rich sporting heritage.

Gold “A Bathing Ape” lettering on the quarter panel adds luxury, while co-branded tongue labels further seal the partnership.

The shoe rides atop a classic gum rubber sole, grounding the design in terrace authenticity while complementing the black-and-white contrasts above.
