As marathon season grips the capital, Saucony is rewriting the rhythm of race week with the launch of its RUSH Delivery Depot, a Shoreditch-based hub that reshapes tha marathon experience through movement, momentum and community. It is positioned as a conceptual engine and transforms the logistical language of delivery networks into a metaphor.
Set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most iconic races, the initiative taps directly into the emotional and physical build-up surrounding the London Marathon, offering a fresh perspective on how runners, and the wider community, engage with the event.
The RUSH Delivery Depot: A New Kind of Running Hub
Located in Shoreditch, the RUSH Delivery Depot operates as Saucony’s central node throughout the week, an open-access environment designed to bring runners and supporters together. The space reflects the brand’s Endorphin-led philosophy, where performance innovation meets cultural storytelling, creating an ecosystem that extends beyond footwear.
Inside, the Depot balances functionality and playfulness, visitors are invited to engage with a series of ongoing activations that blur the lines between the preparation and participation. A café offers a moment of pause amid the chaos of the race week.
Elsewhere, the environment becomes increasingly interactive. A growing community wall acts as a visual archive of encouragement, documenting the collective energy building up across the week. The RUSH photo booth provides personalised Fleed ID print-outs, while the “Estimated Time of Delivery” pace band wall reinterprets race pacing.
Extending Beyond Shoreditch
While the Depot serves as the focus point of the campaign, Saucony’s RUSH programme extends far beyond the Shoreditch location, activating the wider city through a series of interconnected experiences. Ahead of the official opening, the brand’s Covent Garden store hosts “Race the Delivery Driver,” a community-driven race that pits runners against RUSH-branded cargo bikes through central London.
The city itself becomes part of the story through “Sorry We Missed You,” a treasure hunt that unfolds across London, encouraging participants to engage with the brand in unexpected ways.
Community, Culture and Connection
At the heart of RUSH is a commitment to community. The Depot hosts a curated programme of events designed to bring together different corners of London’s running and cultural scenes. From the BRKEDOFF Delivery Run to an evening launch party in collaboration with Rinse FM.
The inclusion of a carb-loading event with Nell’s Kitchen adds a perfect touch, while the “The Delivery Network” shakeout run, hosted with The Weekend Project offers a more traditional pre-race gathering. These moments come together in the “Make Fast Feel Easy” panel talk, where leading voices from London’s running community share insights in training and innovation.
