Nike KD 6 “Night Vision” (2026 Retro)

The return of the KD 6 in 2026 marks a genuine milestone for Nike Basketball. For the first time, Kevin Durant’s sixth signature model is receiving a proper retro rollout, and the “Night Vision” colourway feels like a purposeful place to start. When it originally released towards the end of the KD 6 run, it flew slightly under the radar, arriving just as attention was beginning to shift towards the KD 7. Time has been kind to it since.

The design pulls directly from military night-vision equipment, an influence that felt forward-thinking in 2014 and still reads sharp today. A black synthetic upper keeps things stealthy, while bright green hits and pixelated speckling mimic the look of infrared overlays. That digital language carries through to the forefoot Swoosh and KD heel logo, both rendered in a pixelated style that feels rooted in its era without looking dated. Bright Mango beneath the visible Air unit breaks the darkness, while rope-inspired laces reinforce the utilitarian theme.

In hindsight, “Night Vision” represents the KD 6 at its most experimental. With Durant’s line now firmly established in retro territory, this colourway lands differently than it did a decade ago. What was once overlooked now reads as a cult favourite, and its return feels as much about recognising fan memory as it does about celebrating one of KD’s most wearable silhouettes.
