New Balance opens a bold new chapter in the heart of London with the unveiling of its dedicated Made in UK space on Oxford Street, an immersive destination that celebrates craftsmanship, heritage, and innovation at the very core of the city’s cultural crossroads. To mark this milestone and celebrate the countdown to the 2025 TCS London Marathon, New Balance launched an exclusive NB1500 “London Marathon” edition on Monday, April 22nd. Available only to attendees of the store’s grand opening event, this ultra-limited release became one of the most coveted drops of the year.

Designed to be more than a retail space, the new Oxford Street store brings New Balance’s values to life. With dedicated zones for football, tennis, skateboarding, and the Made in UK collection, it caters to a diverse range of audience, from athletes to fashion enthusiasts. Central seating areas and curated visual displays spotlight the design stories, craftsmanship, and origins behind key products, while the space itself is built to serve as a hub for collaborations, events, and cultural activations tied to London’s dynamic sporting and creative calendar.

Handcrafted at the renowned Flimby factory, the NB1500 “London Marathon” edition channels the energy of the race through a bold and refined palette. The shoe arrives in black, grey, and red, delivering a sleek, race-ready aesthetic that transitions effortlessly from the track to the street. With premium pigskin suede and leather overlays, the silhouette offers tactile luxury, while the iconic ENCAP midsole ensures comfort and performance. Red accents nod to the adrenaline of the marathon, while the darker base tones provide a timeless edge, a collector-worthy piece for marathon runners, sneakerheads, and design purists alike.

Guests were welcomed into an exclusive evening that celebrated community, creativity, and craftsmanship.
