The HAL Studios x adidas Intimidation Low “Dolomite” is a striking reimagination of the late-’90s trainer, launching exclusively through hsdt.net on 3 September 2025.
HAL Studios, led by Australian designer John Bouquet, have carved out a reputation for collaborations that connect archival design with natural storytelling, and this project is no exception.
The “Dolomite” colourway takes inspiration from stone formations and geological textures, resulting in a clean, almost architectural look. Its crisp white upper is overlaid with subtle grey shading.
The semi-translucent cage flows seamlessly from the toe through to the heel, echoing adidas’ 1999 original yet updated with modern execution. Red eyelets punctuate the minimal palette, creating sharp accents that hint at heat and energy beneath the surface.
Technical details elevate the sneaker beyond its visual appeal. Lightweight materials, improved structure, and adidas’ retro-inspired “Feet You Wear” tooling ensure comfort and stability, while reflective hits bring a practical edge for visibility in low light. The black carbon fibre panels on the heel add to its futuristic personality.
