adidas Originals and CLOT have joined forces once again, this time bringing designer Caroline Hú into the mix to reinterpret the Taekwondo silhouette. Hú’s take preserves the shoe’s slim, low-cut proportions, but elevates the aesthetic through straps that wrap the midfoot in a crisscross or ribbon-like formation, a graceful reinterpretation borrowed from dance rather than combat. Beneath that, the upper is debossed with muted adidas signatures, the T-toe block, subtle Three Stripes detailing.
Caroline Hú and Edison Chen’s collaboration speaks to balance: soft and strong, fluid and structured. In their release narrative, they emphasise duality, vulnerability as a strength, imperfection as truth and the shoe becomes a metaphor for that philosophy.
Three colourways anchor the drop: Triple Black, Soft Pink, and Off White. The black version keeps things moody and refined, while the pink and off-white deliveries use metallic silver accents and patent detailing to bring lightness and contrast. Underfoot, the Taekwondo’s classic low-profile sole remains, though the traction is extended across the entire base rather than being segmented a choice that prioritises consistency and wearability.
