Bad Bunny has made a career of reshaping sneaker culture, and his latest adidas collaboration continues that trajectory in surprising fashion. The Bad Bunny x adidas Ballerina “Flamboyán” is scheduled for Spring 2026.
Marking a sharp departure from the bulky, experimental builds of his earlier Forum Buckle and Response CL designs. Instead, Benito opts for a minimalist, loafer-like silhouette inspired by the adidas Taekwondo.
The choice of form is telling. The Ballerina comes stripped down, built with a low-profile sole and speed-lacing system that speaks directly to adidas’ athletic roots. Yet Bad Bunny adds his usual flair with suede overlays, stitched size tags at the heel, and street-ready details that balance heritage with rebellion.
It feels like a study in restraint, especially when compared to his past collaborations — but one that still brims with personality.
The “Vivid Red” colourway draws inspiration from Puerto Rico’s flamboyán tree, a natural emblem of his homeland. Its fiery red flowers bloom each summer, and here they are reinterpreted as a statement of energy and pride.
That personal storytelling deepens the sneaker’s connection to Bad Bunny himself, presenting the design as both a love letter and a cultural marker.
Underfoot, the sneaker retains adidas’ knack for performance comfort, even within such a pared-back structure. The thin sole unit offers a surprisingly nimble ride, giving wearers a barefoot-adjacent feel without losing grip or stability.
