Atiba Jefferson x Vans: United Through Skateboarding

Skateboarding has always been more than doing tricks on the skatepark and halfpipe. It is a way of seeing, a way of sharing and a way of connecting with like-minded individuals. For photographer and skater Atiba Jefferson, it has been the energy for a life-long journey. With his new collaboration, the United Through Skateboarding collection with Vans, he brings his circle full-circle. The capsule collection is a tribute to the connections built by skateboarding, the true passion formed on the skatedeck in half-lit skateparks. It is an ode to the friendships formed through the freedom of skateboarding.

A Capsule That Speaks of Community

Launched globally in September 2025, the collection festures refinements on timeless skate silhouettes, the Skate Half Cab with Wafflecup outsole, the Skate Old Skool 36+ and apparel and accessories all captured by the legendary photographer. To finish off the storytelling Atiba’s longtime friend Haze brought an additional layer to the campaign. Every garment is handpicked by Atiba himself, to fully capture his spirit.

A Legendary Cast That Embodies Connection

One of the best moments of this campaign is the cast that was used, icons like: Adam Devine, Blake Anderson, Anders Holm Sam Richardson, Tim Robinson, Franz Lyons, Baron Davis, C.J. Uzomah, Lizzie Armanto, Zion Wright, Curren Caples, Shiloh Catori, and Cocona Hiraki. Each from a different background and representing something else, yet they are connected by their love for skateboarding. The campaign knows how to blur the lines between subculture and the mainstream world. Jefferson on the other hand, knows how to direct the campaign. He has created his own narrative, full of skateboarders that were, and still are people to look up to.

The campaign feels true to its roots, it is a true community. The glance between lifelong friends before dropping in the halfpipe, the laughter that’s followed by falling off the board, the exchange, and trying each others board and wheels. It is something that cannot be staged.
