ASICS and C.P. Company are back for the second chapter of their collaborative partnership, introducing a new version of the ASICS GEL-QUANTUM 360. This collaboration builds on the success of their first project in early 2024, the two brands continue to explore the intersection of performance technology and design.
ASICS approaches footwear through the lens of performance engineering, guided by its longstanding “Sound Mind, Sound Body” ethos. C.P. Company, meanwhile, is known for its experimental take on sportswear, driven bt decades of research into technical fabrics and focused on garment construction.
First the second chapter, the partnership revolves around the concepr of “Architecture in Motion.” The idea uses the modern city ad a constantly evolving environment where structure and movement in tandem.
Revisiting the GEL-QUANTUM 360
Originally introduced in 2015, the GEL-QUANTUM 350 represented a significant step for the brand. The silhouette was ASICS’s first sneaker to feature the 360-degree GEL cushioning across the entire midsole, creating a visual identity built around visible performance technology.
That full-length cushioning system is still central to the sneaker’s design in the C.P. Company collab. The midsole’s translucent GEL units provide shock absorption across the entire foot.
The 360 GEL cushioning system works alongside FF BLAST PLUS foam, providing a lightweight and responsive feel designed for everyday movement.
The silhouette has been refined with materials and structural elements that highlight yhe architectural theme. The upper is mde from double-layer technical jacquard mesh, a material choice that enhances breathability while introducing a additional visual depth.
The Colourways
The collaborative release arrives in three colourways, each offering a different interpretation of the “Architecture in Motion” concept. The palette leans towards muted, urban-inspired tones that reflect the textures and materials of contemporary city architecture.
Among the three options is a blue colourway reserved exclusively for C.P. Company flagship stores and the brand’s official website, making it the most limited of the trio. The deep shade emphasises the layered construction of the upper and highlights the structural framework that defines the sneaker’s design. The remaining colourways follow a similarly restrained approach, mixing tonal palettes and technical materials.
Branding is minimal, allowing tje materials and construction to take centra stage. C.P. Company’s Metropolis Series logo appears on the top srea, referring to the Italian brand’s collection focused on advancee materials. At the heel, the familiar ASICS spiral logo anchors the design.
Launch Event
To mark the release of the sneaker, ASICS and C.P. Company hosted a special event at the headquarters of UNESCO in Paris, a landmark location rarely accessible to the public.
The venue was chosen for its architectural significance and symbolic connection to global cultural dialogue. Within the building’s distinctive modernist structure, members of the brands’ extended community gathered for an immersive experience exploring the relationship between body, movement and space.
A guided breathwork session led by Bruno Sitton encouraged participants to engage with their surroundings in a more mindful way, reflecting the collaboration’s broader themes of movement, awareness and the interaction between human bodies and the built environment.
