adidas SPZL Digs Into Its Archive for a Winter of Heritage Sportswear

adidas SPZL continues to explore the Three Stripes’ extensive archive for Autumn/Winter 2026, bringing sportswear silhouettes into a new seasonal collection. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s designs of the 1970s and 1980s, the latest offering combines vintage references with updated materials and practical details. The result stays close to the identity that made SPZL a favourite among adidas collectors, while introducing a selection of colours and silhouettes for the colder months.

For this season, the collection looks towards the subcultures that have helped shape adidas’ identity over the decades. The brand continues to reinterpret its heritage through pieces intended for everyday wear. Earth-inspired colours and recognisable adidas sportswear elements run throughout the collection.

Blondey McCoy Leads the adidas SPZL Campaign

The Autumn/Winter 2026 campaign brings together several prominent members of the adidas skateboarding team. Blondey McCoy, who has previously collaborated with SPZL on footwear and apparel, appears alongside Riley Hawk, Dennis Busenitz, Vincent Milou, Shin Sanbongi and Lawrence Ravail.

Their involvement reflects the long-standing relationship between adidas and skateboarding culture, particularly in the UK and beyond. Over the years, the Three Stripes became closely associated with generations of skateboarders who adopted classic adidas footwear and sportswear as part of their everyday uniform. SPZL continues to draw from that connection, using archival references while also working with the people who represent the brand’s ongoing relationship with skate culture.

A 12-Piece Apparel Collection Built for Winter

The clothing selection consists of 12 pieces, bringing together outerwear, sweatshirts, track-inspired designs and accessories. Leading the collection is the SPRINGVALE PARKA, joined by the ECCLESHLL SMOCK, which comes in two colourways, and the BAXENDEN HOOD. The CARDINGTON VEST adds another practical layering option, while the TURNCROFT TT and BELLSHILL SPZL HALFZIP add more familiar adidas sportswear references.

Colours play an important role throughout the collection. Olive Strata and Cargo provide the foundation for the more utilitarian pieces, while Burnt Sienna and Aurora Ink add warmer and darker seasonal tones. The palette keeps the collection grounded in the outdoors and the wider months without moving away from the understated approach that has become synonymous with SPZL.

The collection also offers accessories, the STANDISH SPZL bag comes in dark brown, whike the FLEETWITH SPZL gloves come in black, adding practical pieces for the colder season. Completing the accessories are the WETHERLAM SPZL BEANIE, LINGMOOR SPZL cap and MOD SPZL socks. The cap also incorporates Climastorm technology, bringing a functional elements into an otherwise straightforward accessory design.

Five Footwear Styles Revisit the adidas Archive

Footwear remains central to the SPZL identity, and the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection introduces six colourway options across five styles. Leading the selection is the HAWAII SPZL, which comes in Emperador Broen and Shadow Green. The silhouette continues the collection’s interest in archival footwear, with both colourways offering a seasonal alternative to the adidas classics.

The HALEWOOD SPZL takes inspiration from the vintage Squash silhouette, reworking its original sporting character through a Picante Orange suede upper and contrasting navy Three Stripes. The combination brungs a brighter note to the otherwise earthy collection.

For colder conditions, the BOSTON II OUTDOOR SPZL receives a winterised update. This familiar runner incorporates an adi-Tex membrane, adding weather protection to a silhouette rooted in adidas’ running archive. The ALBRECHT II SPZL takes a different direction as a leisure shoe, releasing in Wild Brown, then there’s also the WETHERLAM SPZL as an entirely nee hybrid hiking design.

This WETHERLAM SPZL combines outdoor-inspired construction with the recognisable adidas design language, using a Dust Green colourway and adi-Tex technology.
