The Air Jordan 11 “Rare Air” is set for Holiday 2025, arriving as one of the more distinctive entries in Jordan Brand’s 30th anniversary line-up of the AJ11.
The “Rare Air” treatment has appeared on other Jordan silhouettes in the past, but this is the first time it’s been applied to the legendary 11, and it comes with some interesting tweaks.
The shoe does away with the iconic patent leather mudguard, replacing it with a smooth matte leather wrap that changes the entire character of the silhouette.
The upper is built from a mix of ballistic mesh and tumbled leather, giving it a more rugged edge compared to the usual shiny finish we associate with the AJ11.
Branding is also refreshed: instead of the traditional “23” or “45” on the heel, you’ll find “Rare Air” text in bold stitching, making this release instantly recognisable.
Underfoot, it stays faithful to Jordan Brand heritage, with a full-length Phylon midsole and encased Zoom Air cushioning. The translucent outsole reveals subtle graphics underneath, making the underside just as considered as the rest of the shoe.
