At its core, the Icon Jacket is classic Avirex. It has a heavy leather construction, ribbed waistband and structured shoulders, all elements pulled straight from the brand’s aviation archive. Avirex built its name reinterpreting military flight jacket and that heritage is still visible today.

Traditionally the identity of the jacket pointed towards the United States, with bold USA lettering, aviation crests and American symbolism stitched into the heavy leather, but on this jacket there is one important change, the USA is replaced with LONDON.
London has always adopted American heritage, varsity jackets, bombers, denim, and workwear. Avirex jackets in particular have been part of London’s streets for a long time. By adding London on the back, instead of USA Avirex acknowledges that history.
