Vans’ latest release under the OTW banner sees the Old Skool 35 silhouette re-imagined through two colourways, the “Pearlized Marshmallow” and “Fuchsia.” Using the OTW platform, Vans aims to bring premium materials into their collection.
The “Pearlized Marshmallow” brings a soft, luminous aesthetic. With a cream leather upper, that’s enhanced by a pearlescent finish. Suede overlays at the toe and heel keep the sneaker in touch with its skateboard heritage. Furthermore a white Jazz Stripe runs laterally across the pair, all while the Vans still has the classic waffle outsole.
In contrast, the “Fuchsia” variant turns more towards the louder side, instead of staying calm. A rich, saturated pink electric raspberry and deep magenta mix cover the suede and canvas upper. The white stripe and midsole on this pair bring a beautiful contrast and a neutral balance, to the collection. This pair has been made with skating in mind and features a classic waffle outsole as well.
