Timed perfectly to outshine every Mother’s Day gift, this final instalment honours Naomi Phillips, the internet’s beloved Sneaker Grandma. Designer Philip Lipschutz II, alongside adidas, turned grandma’s house into a sneaker tribute, with Naomi herself picking the floral prints that cover the shoe.
The heartfelt details run deep. Naomi’s actual handwriting appears on the heels, and a replica of a proposal note from her late husband hides within the insoles. In a subtle, powerful touch, a reversed handwritten message nods to Lipschutz’s journey with dyslexia and his enduring love for his grandmother.
