Every Travis Scott sneaker release comes with hype, speculation, and an almost guaranteed sell-out. But behind the pairs that end up on shelves lies a world full of experimentation, samples that will never see the day of light and designs that will shape the future. The Travis Scott x Nike Jordan Jumpman Jack sample in the Navy/Yellow colourway is one of such future shaping pairs. Previously Travis Scott collabs came in rather clean and earthy colours, olive green, cream, brown and black, with the navy/yellow sample Travis is moving in another direction. This time he is bringing a Michigan-inspired theme to his signature silhouette.
Navy, Yellow and a Splash of Red
The upper is crafted in deep navy and yellow gold suede overlays, instantly evoking a “Michigan” aesthetic. The swoosh is deep grey, which moves away from the Michigan colourway. Then the forefoot strap, another staple on this iconic silhouette is stitched with a Cactus Jack logo in navy, but the biggest surprise appears on the sole. A deep red “Jack” is clearly visible.
Details You Can’t Miss
On the heel a fresh stick figurine Cactus Jack logo brings another unique layer. It is a different design than that is usually found on the released pairs. Another fun detail? This sample is a US10.5, that is Travis Scott his personal size. Rumours has it he has even worn this specific pair himself. Like almost all samples this navy/yellow Jumpman Jack is very unlikely to ever see a retail release,
