Nike’s next-generation racer, the Vaporfly 4, makes its debut as part of the brand’s annual “Ekiden” pack, a celebration of Japan’s legendary long-distance relay race.
For 2025, the Vaporfly 4 arrives in a bold lime green finish with jet-black detailing, setting the tone for the model’s high-performance future.
The design references Nike’s history with the Ekiden, which stretches back to 1995 with the launch of the Air Streak Ekiden.
Since then, the series has seen the Streak Lite and Zoom Streak Spectrum Plus, all inspired by the same celebration of Japanese running culture.
This edition keeps that tradition alive, with Japanese text carefully printed along the tongue, insole and heel spine.
The midsole pushes innovation forward with its gradient paint fade from black at the forefoot into lime green at the heel, while retaining the energy-returning foam and carbon plate combo that has made Vaporfly a favourite amongst competitive runners.
